Bombardier's CSeries prototype successfully completed a 2 1/2-hour first flight on Monday, September 16, 2013, taking off at 0955 Eastern Time from Runway 06 at Montreal-Mirabel, Quebec. Bombardier Chief Test Pilot Chuck Ellis and First Officer Andy Litavniks were assisted by Flight Engineer Andreas Hartono. The CS100, Flight Test Vehicle 1 creatively registered C-FBCS ('Canada-First Bombardier CSeries'), was shadowed by the manufacturer's Global 5000.
