The results of the present study indicate that it is possible to graft polypropylene fibers by simultaneously irradiating the fibers and the monomer vinyl acetate, in nitrogen atmo- sphere without significantly effecting its physical properties like; crystallinity, strength, elongation percentage and melting point. The dose of 2.60kGy is appropriate for grafting at monomer concentration of 30%.
