Following the takeover last year of Schnellflechter Berlin by Wardwell Braiding Machine Company of the USA, the Germany-based company has seen significant sales increases. Cecil Leonard, vice president of Wardwell and co-managing director of Schnellflechter Berlin, reports that sales for the first eight months of this year were more than double the total of those for 1994. Mr Leonard attributes this dramatic increase in part to the competitive pricing, product alternatives, and responsive service the combined companies can now offer their customers in Europe and the countries of the former Soviet Union.
