The new vertical taping machine from Kabel-Maschinen-Bau GmbH (KMB) has been designed for copper cabling; in particular that which exceeds the criteria of D/EN 50173 and 5/EN 50173. Designated the VSP (pictured), it has been developed to provide higher productivity and quality, which it achieves using vector-orientated rotational speed regulation. Among other features for improved productivity and quality are wear-resistant, energy-saving three-phase motors. A control device enables a process controlled lay-length and traction position during operation. Handling is done from the right-hand side.
