The form of a city has a major impact on the lifestyles of itsresidents. As urban centers grow, careful strategies are required toensure that the regional quality of life is not adversely affected bythis growth. An important strategic consideration si transportationplanning. Questions regarding the sustain- ability of dispersed cardependent urban forms have led to a renewed interest in publictransportation.
