We briefly discuss the characters of aerosol profiles in the marine atmospheric boundary layer (MABL) detected by a high spectral resolution lidar (HSRL) system developed by Ocean University of China. In this 532-nm lidar system, an iodine filter is used to reject the Mie scattering signal and extract the Rayleigh signal. We deduce the aerosol scattering ratio (R_(b)) by the HSRL and analyze the correlation index of R_(b) and relative humidity (RH) under different weather conditions. The height of MABL is derived from the R_(b) profiles using a wavelet method.
