In this paper, color fading ettect on a reactive dyed material is carried out by using different concentrations of laccase enzyme at acidic pH ranging from 3 to 5. Color fading effect can also be achieved by using different bleaching agents such as sodium hypochlorite, potassium permagnet etc. But, because of their higher oxidation potential they will form oxycellulose and will damage the cotton fibre. Hence the best way to avoid the damage is to go for enzymatic treatments.
