The latest range of automatic wire straightening and cutoff machines from Vitari have seen great improvements over previous generations, in terms of: high productivity; noise reduction; and safety features. In development for the past two years, the range can process wires from 2 - 12 mm PHI at speeds from 30 to 130 m/min. The machines have a speed variation control so that the optimum speed can be selected, depending on wire size and quality. As well as the high feed rate, the machines have a fast pneumatic cutting system, which allows a high cutoff speed. Combined, these higher feed and cutoff rates lead to significant productivity increases.
