The paper outlines the basic effects of aging and technologicalsubstitution of motor vehicles on their air emissions. The analysisis facilitated with the aid of an existing model that simulates theinternal dynamics of vehicle populations and performs emissioncalculations. The renewal rate of vehicles is modeled and associateduncertainties are demonstrated. The sensitivity of the system tospecific age and technological parameters is examined.
