President Bush has made trade one of the top priorities of his administration. He has entrusted this priority to two remarkable public servants - Bob Zoellick and Rob Portman. Under their leadership, the United States has returned to the negotiating table, has established US leadership in multilateral trade talks, has opened new markets for American products and services and has pointed the way toward a better future for all nations. I have been particularly grateful for the opportunity to be part of Rob Portman's team over the last six months and to participate in the development and execution of our trade agenda.
