摘要

The purpose of this paper is to present results from an uncertainty analysis of the power capture performance of a wave energy device under time-domain impedance matching control. The method requires wave-elevation prediction 15-20 s into the future. Hence, the paper focuses on the uncertainty in the predicted wave elevations, in particular, the uncertainty resulting from errors associated with the processing of radar scans providing successive snap-shots of the surrounding wave field. Here, radar scans from a shore-based radar are used to infer crest-line locations in the wave field. The crest-line locations are used in conjunctions with nearby wave spectral information to predict the wave-elevation time series needed for causalization of the control force. Simulation results are obtained for the effect of time and direction errors in the processing of radar scans on the converted power. Errors are found to cause a modest drop in the time-averaged converted-power amounts.
