Italy has granted an emergency use authorization for Bayer Crop Science division’s insecticide,Sivanto Prime(flupyradifurone 200 g/litre).The soluble concentrate formulation has been granted a 120-day approval for use on maize against several pests.They include bird cherry-oat aphids(Rhopalosphum padi),cereal aphids(Macrosiphum avenae)and Western corn rootworms(Diabrotica virgifera).The authorization runs from July 13 to Nov 9.
