On May 24~(th), the Office of U.S Consortium for Standards and Conformity Assessment (CSCA China Office) was officially established in Beijing. The U.S Consortium for Standards and Conformity Assessment, consisting of four U.S-based standards organizations, which are API (American Petroleum Institute), ASME International, ASTM International and CSA America, has created the office. The establishment of the China Office will enhance America and China cooperation in the area of standards and conformity assessment, which support the further development of bilateral trade and strengthen bilateral cooperation. The CSCA Office provides a resource for Chinese governmental enterprise representatives through which they can better understand the multiple paths to international standardization and conformity assessment. China can then apply this knowledge to positively influence standards and conformity assessment practice to ensure that the documents reflect China's needs and enable China' s access to the global market.
