I'm a freelance photographer based in Phoenix, Arizona. I assisted other photographers here in Phoenix for about five years before heading out on my own about three years ago. Shortly thereafter, I realized I needed to develop a consistent marketing plan to increase my business. Eventually, I launched my website. Many of my clients and prospective clients—editorial, corporate, and advertising—are from out of town, so one of my marketing objectives was to direct people to my website. Of course, I also direct local clients and prospects to my website through other marketing efforts.
