In this month's survey we found out how shop owners prevent these problems whenever possible, and what they do when problems do arise. The most important step to avoiding difficulties with custom work is to find out exactly what the customer is looking for. This usually takes some time, but most shop owners say it is time well spent. Asking customers detailed questions about the work they want done is the only way to prevent having to do the work twice.
