A modified pentode stabilizer is described in which a neon lamp replaces the usual battery for maintaining a constant grid bias. This circuit stabilizes the voltage as well as that with a battery, and is much more flexible. A simpler stabilizer is described in which a bank of neon lamps supplies the stabilized voltage directly. A new amplifier, using two standard radio tubes and a small neon lamp is described. A brief report is made of the use of a ``Strobotron'' in counter circuits.
