This year's Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in Hamburg in early June began with a bang, thanks to a jubilant Panasonic Avionics, which kickstarted the event with a batch of eyewatering announcements. Fresh on the heels of announcing that Astrova, its latest inflight entertainment (IFE) solution, has been adopted at a higher rate than all previous industry-leading IFE systems, the company has now introduced five new larger Astrova screens for First and Business Class, offering 19-inch, 22-, 27-, 32- and 42-inch screens, boosting the appeal of Astrova for the widebody aircraft market. An airline has already selected every new size monitor introduced at AIX 2023.
