One of the most common ways of achieving high throughput implementation of digital filters suitable for MDSP (Multi-Digital Signal Processor) structures is by increasing the parallelism in the algorithm through proper modification of the basic scheme and employing many processing elements for concurrent operation. Towards this end, a new MDSP structure is proposed to implement a given transfer function H(z) for any order of digital filter with a high degree of speeding up in the signal throughput rate and less hardware complexity. The new MDSP performance is analyzed and compared with previously published approaches. [References: 9]
