Utilising a single drive system, the Dual-Spindle takeup from Accra-Wire Controls can run the spindles separately, providing an effective way to maintain a continuous repackaging system by reducing changeover time. While one spindle is in operation, the second is disengaged, allowing the operator the time needed to prepare the spool or centreless core for rewind. When the first package is complete, the operator pushes a button to engage the prepared spindle and begin the rewinding operation.
