At a recent seminar held by Cotton Inc. in Hong Kong Ms Lauren Deatherage, Apparel Fashion Marketing, US Headquarters, spoke on colour, silhouette, fabric and trend ideas for the Spring and Summer 2006 fashions, providing insights into the new inspiration for cotton-rich merchandise. Introducing her topic, Ms Deatherage referred to the changes which had taken place in recent seasons, and informed the representatives of Cotton USA licensees present that the bright shades had been replaced by a balanced group of neutral, bight and accent tones. Titles for the various themes were intended to evoke emotion and feeling, the better to steer fashion in a positive direction.
