The observation of self-generating high-order diffraction associated with a conical ring in LiNbO{sub}3 on which two extraordinarily p0larized beams are incident is reported. We propose that Bragg-mismatching diffraction, Bragg degeneracy, andmultiple scattering through two-wave mixing could be responsible for the high-order diffraction and the conical ring.
