Oneworld: More than two years after beginning the process and on their third attempt, AMERICAN AIRLINES and BRITISH AIRWAYS received final approval in July from both the US DOT and the European Union for their joint business agreement and anti-trust immunity across the Atlantic (Iberia, Finnair, and Royal Jordanian are also a part of the agreement). Much of the code-sharing, joint pricing and frequent flyer reciprocity could be in effect by October. The EU also recently approved the merger of British Airways and Iberia.
