After flying under the dining radar for decades, Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) is heading in an innovative direction. The latest sign is that celebrity chef Rick Bay less is opening two restaurants at the airport, called Tortas Frontera. One of the top chef-restaurateurs in Chicago-and the USA-Bayless already has plenty on his plate. Besides running Frontera Grill, Topolobampo, and Xoco in the River North neighborhood, and the Frontera Fresco kiosks in Macy's, he's the owner of Frontera Foods, consulting chef for Red O restaurant in Los Angeles, author of several cookbooks, and host of television's Mexico: One Plate at a Time. He also was the chef at a recent White House dinner for the Mexican president and has won numerous awards, as well as the Top Chef Masters season 1 competition on Bravo cable network.
