Sumitomo Chemical's US-based biological crop protection products subsidiary, Valent BioSciences (Libertyville, Illinois), has initiated the construction of a manufacturing facility at White City, in the state of Oregon. The company anticipates the unit addressing increased demand and the projected growth of its MycoApply arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF)-based product portfolio. It notes that the factory would complement its existing headquarters, as well as the manufacturing infrastructure of its subsidiary, Mycorrhizal Applications, in Grants Pass, Oregon.
