I started in the industry before Global Cement was 'born.' At that time cement was unique in its openness. Regional competitors would even assist each another during outages. This is vanishing now, indeed the trend is even accelerating due to tensions as a reult of staff shortages, competition for resources and the onset of the decarbonation movement. For those and other reasons, as a supplier to the industry, reaching out to people was becoming harder and harder, even before the Covid-19 pandemic hit.
