The metastable zone width studies have been carried out using 1 mol percent of EDTA in ammonium dihydrogen orthophosphate (ADP) solution. It has been found that the zone width is enhanced significantly at all experimental temperatures and the multi nucleation is reduced considerably. The nucleation parameters have also been found. It is found that with EDTA addition, the nucleation rate of ADP is decreased appreciably when compared to the pure one.
