Metso is literally demonstrating integration at the Steinexpo 2008: the interaction of the two LT300CPB and LT125 mobile crusher systems, which, as interlocked units, provide insight into a two-stage preparation process on-the-spot, is a quarry-proven example of flexibility (Fig. 1). It is theoretically possible using this combination to produce 45 percent rail ballast per hour from an around 4001 feed input. The LT125 functions as the precrusher, and the LT300GPB as the after- or final crusher unit. An LT125 crusher has a throughput of between 400 and 700 t/h, depending on the particular application and the feed material. The "split" version, which is equipped with hydraulic support legs for rapid setting-up and tak ing-down of the crusher and feed units, is used particularly in con-tract-crushing applications.
