I just conducted some research to help develop our editorial plans for 2010.1 talked to property-level general managers as well as corporate executives to find out how their jobs are changing, how they consume media and what we could do to help them be more successful. Since they were senior-level managers, my interviewees tended to be around 50 years old, give or take a few years. What struck me as incredibly interesting was how little time they said they spend online and how little they know about social networking and other relatively new technology. They basically told me how they have "younger people on staff to handle all that."
