Results show that the installation of the FPV and the pumped-storage plant would benefit EMAE, if there would be an electricity surplus in the RGS, starting from 2037. The optimal management of the PSP would be achieved by using only 10 per cent of the volume of the upper reservoir intended for the reversible operation, not exceeding flows of 400 m~3/h per cycle. Consumption at the pumped-storage plant will occur between 07:00 and 15:00 hrs and generation between 17:00 and 22:00 hrs. Part of consumption will still be met from solar generation between 09:00 and 15:00 hrs. Total annualized revenues of between US$420 million and US$518 million will be obtained as FPV generation capacity increases. About 17 per cent of these amounts are the result of HBP's five-year operation, starting in 2037.
