During my first two years as a flight attendant with a Middle East carrier, there were two flights I strongly disliked operating. One was Tehran to London; the second was Tehran-Frankfurt. Both flights were usually overbooked, and as the departures were normally at dawn, the passengers were often in poor form. And I was in poor form. Whether I had had an early or a late night before the flight, it made no difference. I just didn't function well at dawn. No matter how I tried, those 0630 departures knocked me out; I resembled one of The Muppets that had spent too long a day on the film set.
