Air Macau (IATA: NX/ICAO: AMU-Airways, Mar/ Apr 1997), flag carrier of the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) of the People's Republic of China, was recently embroiled in controversy, with regional media reporting skyrocketing losses, poor management, a record number of canceled flights, and even the possibility of bankruptcy. During these difficult times for the airline, Airways sampled Air Macau's business class service between Bangkok and Macau.Flight NX885 code-shared with China Airlines and Thai International, with personnel of the latter airline also handling Air Macau's check-in procedures at BKK, albeit at four dedicated NX counters. The process was fast and friendly.
