A consortium led by SMS Demag has been awarded, by Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) of China, an order for the supply of a ht strip rolling mill and cross-cut shearing line.Commissioning of the first stage of the mill is scheduled for early 2003.It will be designed for an annual yield of 3.5 million tonnes, with thicknesses from 1.2 to 25.4 mm and widths of up to 2,130 mm.
