European Pesticide Action Network (PAN) member organizations have filed a complaint with the Vienna public prosecutor’s office against Bayer’s Austrian business over the studies submitted for the EU approval renewal process for glyphosate herbicide. They accuse Bayer and other applicants of failing to submit full studies in their application for the approval renewal of the herbicide. Bayer refutes all accusations, adding that the developments add nothing to previous complaints from the NGO groups. The company clarifies that the move is not a “criminal complaint” as PAN claims.
