I have travelled to and through San Juan, Puerto Rico, on at least a dozen occasions. Every time I used Aeropuerto Internacional de Luis Munoz Marin (IATA: SJU). In one instance no seats were available on flights from SJU to Culebra, an island about 50mi (80km) from San Juan. The ticket agent said I could take a taxi to an airport near the center of San Juan called Isla Grande, as there were several seats available from there. However, space suddenly became vacant on a Cessna 208 Caravan out of SJU, so my chance of going to Aeropuerto Isla Grande, or Fernando Luis Ribas Dominicci Airport (SIG), was shelved.
