Istanbul-Honeywell announced that its UpCycle process technology has been selected by Biotrend Energy for a planned advanced plastics recycling plant in Turkey.The facility is expected to have the capacity to transform 30,000 t/y of mixed waste plastics into Honeywell recycled polymer feedstock.Once complete,it will become the"first"commercialized waste plastics recycling facility in Turkey using the UpCycle process.A schedule for the project was not disclosed.Honeywell UOP will provide related engineering and technical services,including start-up,commissioning,and technical support services during the plant's lifetime.
