In 10 months' time, quota restrictions are set to go. Canada, EU and the US have already notified the Textiles Monitoring Body (TMB) that on January 1, 2005, they would eliminate all remaining quota restrictions under the Agreement on Textiles and Clothing (ATC). Turkey is expected to make its notification in due course. The question is: what will or should happen to the administrative arrangements that have been in place for the purpose of implementing quota restrictions. This paper is devoted to discussing this seemingly simple, yet important issue.
