Dear Editor As junior doctors who regularly teach anatomy, we found 'neurophobia' to be a very real feeling amongst our students. A large contributing factor seems to be that neuro-anatomy is a difficult concept to master. For this reason, we found the 12 tips described by Sravanam et al. (2022) to be a valuable resource that we will use to shape our approach to teaching neuroanatomy. Reflecting on our own teaching experiences, we agree that familiarising students with neuroimaging (Tip 6) is of great importance. Students frequently fed back that the process of mentally translating a 2D image into a 3D structure strengthened their basic understanding of neuroanatomy. Others commented on the significance of neuroimaging in clinical practice, both as a diagnostic and a therapeutic tool, which they had not fully appreciated previously. To aid our teaching of neuroimaging, we frequently utilised the Wiki-based collaborative, Radiopaedia. This platform provides a near-limitless library of neuroimaging, often paired with interesting clinical cases, which allowed us to gather teaching material in a time and cost-efficient manner.
