Tarmac has gained industry accreditation for its rubber modified asphalt containing recycled end-of-life car tyres for use on road networks. The company claims its Ultipave R product is the first thin surfacing system of its kind to receive British Aggregates Association (BBA) HAPAS Clause 942 approval. As part of its commitment to sustainability and the circular economy,Tarmac says it looks to incorporate waste materials into asphalt where possible.
