Morris Animal Foundation, in cooperation with Blue Buffalo Company and Pet Valu Canada, will grant CAD$52,500 (approximately $41,777 in US dollars) to a Canada-based investigator exploring the early detection and/or prevention of canine cancer.“Cancers continue to take the lives of too many of our dogs, and the sooner we can detect these diseases early or even prevent them the better,” Janet Patterson-Kane, PhD, BVSc, chief scientific officer at Morris Animal Foundation, said in company news release.
