Kasso— Clariant said its MegaMax methanol synthesis catalyst has been chosen by European Energy for the "world's largest" carbon dioxide (C02)-to-green methanol (e-methanol) facility being built in Kasso, Denmark (PCN, 19-26 December 2022, p 3). The plant will convert renewable electricity from European Energy's adjacent 300-megawatt solar park into 32,000 t/y of e-methanol. Operations are scheduled to begin by the end of this year.
