摘要

Wireless local area networks (WLANs) based on the IEEE 802.11 standard have been very popular in recent years because of their ability to offer mobility, flexibility and ease of use, with very low installation and maintenance costs. In this paper, we focus on IEEE 802.11 ax, a new standard developed by the IEEE 802.11 working group, which will enable very high data rates and efficient use of spectrum. We are particularly interested in one of the key solutions in this new amendment, namely full duplex (FD) radio communications. The proposed full duplex protocol is designed for next-generation wireless LANs based on orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA), which extends the simultaneous transmission capabilities as much as possible and resolves contention with minimal overhead. The simulation results obtained show that the proposed protocol outperforms existing protocols in a dense IEEE 802.11 ax network environment.
