German CAN buyers were reluctant to accept Yara’s latest price increase to €360/mt CIF inland announced Aug. 1 which was a significant hike from €317/mt CIF inland. The bearish tone seen in the urea market kept German CAN buyers on the sidelines, and lack of demand saw prices decline to €300-320/mt CIF inland the week of August 31, down from €340/mt CIF inland at the beginning of the month.
