It needs everything from high levels of technological know-how to excellent interpersonal skills; it is a 'global village' in itself. Enticing people into the business is becoming more challenging, given the increased competition from other industries. Working in an airline, though, still, has its attractions, so how are what might be considered the main operational jobs - pilots, cabin crew and maintenance personnel - faring, particularly in this tricky period as the employment market recovers from the effects of a pandemic and, in certain regions, the fallout from conflict?
