Breedon Group is set to offload key assets to pave the way for competition authority clearance for its ?178m deal to acquire around 100 Cemex sites in the UK. The assets which Breedon intends to divest to avoid a more detailed investigation by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) are a small number of ready-mix concrete plants, an asphalt plant in England, two quarries and a cement terminal in Scotland.
