A growing number of damage claims, skyrocketing inflation, labour shortages, rising repair costs-these are only a few examples of today's reality for Manitoba's collision repair shops. The post-pandemic economic recovery of Manitoba's collision repair industry started shoring up nicely during the first two quarters of this year. Thanks to increased claims and severity, the number of physical damage claims (excluding glass only) is up about 4% over 2019. This is great news; however, rampant inflation is hampering the industry's optimism for 2022 to become a banner year.
