COVID-19 HAS EASED and,suddenly, the world is trying to make up for two years of lockdowns and isolation by traveling to the four corners of the globe. In many cases, this rapid, rebounding demand for air travel is surpassing pre-pandemic levels, with the post-pandemic airport and airline infrastructure being currently unable to cope.A lack of trained staff at major airports around the world is leading to queues, delays, and unnecessary stress. In the media, you have undoubtedly seen images of crowded airports, endless lines, and piles of unclaimed or lost luggage with reports of air travel chaos. Unfortunately, this is the current reality, and it's something with which we are going to have to live for the immediate future.I was lucky to keep flying throughout the pandemic, and I documented my life as a pandemic Pilot via Instagram, with daily posts to show that we were still flying. I used social media to promote aviation and support my airline colleagues and friends who found themselves grounded or unemployed. I was always confident that the industry would rebound-but when?
