PORT HEDLAND, the world's biggest iron ore terminal, has reopened following a cyclone. As of April 14, tropical cyclone Ilsa has weakened to a category 3 system as it moves further inland, Pilbara Ports Authority, which runs Port Hedland along with other smaller ports, said in an advisory, citing the Bureau of Meteorology. The port authority has "undertaken inspections of navigation aids, the channel and berths and has confirmed safe operations can resume," it said, adding that as of 1100 hrs local time, Port Hedland would reopen.
