INTEREST in fuel-agnostic air lubrication technology has grown beyond expectation this year. With the coming into force of Carbon Intensity Indicator requirements, next year will be bigger still, according to Noah Silberschmidt, chief executive of Silverstream Technologies. Since the beginning of the year the number of contracts has more than doubled, from 50 to 110 vessels, with 22 vessels currently in the water rising to 28 by the end of the year. Revenue has increased from $100m to "a lot more than that".
