Notwithstanding the difficulties of bilateral relations between the United States and China, both countries, given the current crisis in Ukraine, could possibly start a dialogue, openly or tacitly, to prevent a nuclear escalation of it, for the sake of their own survivability. All sides of the current conflict in Ukraine have a tunnel vision of their interests. However, the coordination of the United States and China over this conflict could have a positive effect both on Moscow and on Kiev.
