Rome-NextChem said it has completed construction of Italy's"first"demonstration plant for the chemical recycling of polyethylene terephthalate(PET)and polyester from textile waste.The facility,located in Chieti in the Abruzzo Technology Park,utilizes Demeto depolymerization technology,co-licensed by NextChem,to chemically recycle the PET and polyester textile fiber waste and obtain pure monomers to produce new polymers.
